Troubleshooting Guide
Plug the charger into the battery. After you plug the battery in, does the white light on the battery starts to blink?
If the answer is yes, move to Step 2.
If the answer is no, you have a Battery Defect! Don’t hesitate to contact [email protected] with photos/videos and a detailed description of the problem, and we will replace the battery for you!
Once the battery has fully charged ( 4 indicator lights on), plug it in to connect with your heated apparel. The connecting cable locates in an inside pocket on the left.
Now press and HOLD the power button on your apparel for 3 seconds to turn it on. The red light on the chest is on? If no, Repeat the first two steps with another battery if you have one. If yes, follow step 4.
A single press and release of the power button. Does the red light change colors from red to blue to green?
If the answer is yes, move on to the next step.
If the answer is no, you have an Apparel Defect! Please reach out to [email protected] with videos and a detailed description of the problem, and we will replace the apparel for you free of charge if your purchase is under warranty!
Keep your apparel turned on in the HIGH heat setting (red light) for 1 minute INSIDE to get an accurate sense of the heating levels.
Touch the lining at different heating zones (neck, back, stomach area, etc.). Does it feel warm throughout all of the heating zones?
If the answer is yes, move to the next step.
If the answer is no, you have an Apparel Defect! Please reach out to [email protected] with photos and a detailed description of the problem, and we will replace the apparel for you free of charge!
Now this next and final step is to use your apparel for the allotted time (for example, on high heat, it’ll last up to 3 hours). Does the clothing stay connected or stay warm for the time needed until the battery dies?
If the answer is yes, you’re ALL GOOD. No problems here!
If the answer is no, you have an Apparel Defect! Please reach out to [email protected] with photos and a detailed description of the problem, and we will replace the apparel for you free of charge!
Heated Clothing Warranty
One-Year Warranty
Sailwind stands behind its products. Heated Clothes (jacket, vest, hoodie) and Heated Accessories (socks, gloves, scarf, blankets) of orders placed on sailwindstore.com include a complimentary 1-year limited warranty on heating elements and batteries. This year is calculated from the date the product ships from Sailwind.
How to claim
To proceed with a claim, please send emails to [email protected]. This warranty is offered only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. The purchaser is responsible for the cost of returning the product to Sailwind, and we will repair or replace the defective items. If you want to keep your old heated jackets and get a new one instead, we can also provide you warranty store credits(discounts).
Warranty Exclusions
This warranty does not extend to damage from repairs attempted by anyone other than Sailwind Heat. Furthermore, the warranty does not apply if it is determined that the product has been altered, abused, or used in a manner for which it is not intended. Wear & tear of the garment, such as fabric, zippers, and other accessories, are not covered under warranty. Damage to the heating system and parts resulting from misuse, not following washing instructions, flood, accidental fire, unauthorized service, or negligence as outlined herein will void the warranty. This warranty does not cover commercial use.
